Burnout Readiness Assessment

For neurodivergent & disabled professionals

It's not you.
It's the system
you're working inside.

If you're exhausted, inconsistent, or silently struggling — this free 15-question assessment reveals exactly where your ways of working are misaligned with how your brain and body actually operate.

What neurodivergent professionals are saying right now

  • Burnout disguised as productivity — "I look high-performing until I completely collapse." 93% of neurodivergent workers report burnout from unmet needs. (Zety, 2025)
  • Masking costs everything — "I spend all my energy managing how I appear, not on the actual work." 82% feel pressure to mask at work. (Understood.org, 2025)
  • Invisible barriers — "The system wasn't built for me. I'm constantly working around it." Rigid structures, back-to-back meetings, inaccessible processes.
  • Self-blame that isn't yours to carry — "I feel lazy or broken — but it's not a discipline problem. It's a design problem."
  • Fear of speaking up — "I can't ask for adjustments without risking my credibility." 64% fear negative impact from disclosure. (Understood.org, 2025)

How ready are you to redesign
your ways of working?

This assessment doesn't measure whether you have a diagnosis. It measures something more useful — how well your current environment and working patterns are aligned with how you actually function at your best. The problem is rarely the person. It is almost always the system.

What you'll leave with

Three things this assessment gives you

Immediate, personalised insight. No self-blame. The focus is always the system — not you.

01
Identify your friction points
Pinpoint the exact mismatches between your environment and your energy, focus, and executive function — framed as design problems, not personal failings.
02
Understand your readiness score
Receive a personalised profile across five domains — Energy, Focus, Systems, Boundaries, and Recovery — so you know exactly where you are right now.
03
Know your next step
Leave with clarity on what to redesign first — and how coaching can accelerate that shift sustainably, without burning out in the process.

Business Coach · Mentor · Trainer

I'm a neurodivergent and disabled business owner. I know what it's like to carry old, rigid ways of working into your own life and business — and wonder why you still feel exhausted.

It took my own episode of burnout to realise the problem was never my work ethic. It was the systems I was using. I built this assessment to help you see what I eventually saw: where your environment is out of step with your brain and body — and what it looks like to start reshaping that, sustainably.

Research underpinning this assessment

Each question is informed by frameworks that centre systems and environment — not the individual.

Social Model of Disability — Barriers live in systems and environments, not in the person. This principle runs through every question.
Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) — Gold standard for measuring emotional exhaustion and reduced personal accomplishment. Informs the Energy and Recovery domains.
ADHD Executive Function Models (Barkley, 2012) — Working memory, self-regulation, time perception, and task initiation. Informs the Focus and Systems domains.
Monotropism Theory (Murray, Lawson & Wells, 2005) — Attention tunnel theory explaining deep focus and transition difficulty in autistic experience. Informs the Focus and Boundaries questions.
Demand Avoidance & PDA Frameworks — Autonomy needs and the role of external pressure in avoidance and shutdown. Informs Systems and Boundaries domains.
Polyvagal Theory (Porges) — How the nervous system responds to chronic workplace stress and its effect on capacity and recovery. Informs the Recovery domain.
Zety Neurodivergence in the Workplace Report (2025) — Survey of 900 neurodivergent workers on masking, burnout, and unmet needs. Grounds the pain-point framing of each question.
Understood.org Neurodiversity at Work Survey (2025) — 539 employed neurodivergent adults on disclosure, accommodations, and stigma. Informs Boundaries and Systems domains.
